Along with serving clients in the Racine community and managing the law firm, Attorney Mason serves as the Municipal Judge for the City of Racine. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Wisconsin State Bar and the Racine County Bar associations. Mason also serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Racine County, and is a member of the Fine Arts Elementary School PTA, and the Racine chapter of the American Association of University Women. Attorney Mason previously served on the Board of Directors for the Racine Literacy Council, the Racine Zoological Gardens, and Small World Montessori School, and is a former member of Rely-Local Racine & Kenosha and TEMPO Racine.
Attorney Mason is admitted to practice in all Wisconsin courts, the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Since 2011, Attorney Mason has been consecutively designated a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine, published by the Milwaukee Magazine. Super Lawyers is a rating service of lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
Prior to founding Rebecca Mason Law, Attorney Mason served individuals and corporations as an attorney at one of Wisconsin's largest law firms for the better part of a decade. While there, Attorney Mason gained extensive experience in first amendment law, including political law (federal and state), as well as lobbying ethics (federal and state), general government compliance, corporate litigation, data security breach, broadcast law, and open meetings and public records law.
Attorney Mason began her professional legal career with a judicial clerkship to Justice Louis B. Butler, Jr., on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Attorney Mason earned her undergraduate degree from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. While in law school, Attorney Mason was on the board of the Wisconsin Law Review, worked on the Wisconsin Innocence Project, and served as an intern for the Wisconsin Attorney General.
